This leaflet is addressed to people living with HIV who can be infected with hepatitis B and C, viral infections transmitted through blood. These infections may lead to serious impairment of liver function. The leaflet defines modes of transmission of the virus, symptoms, and strategies of HIV and hepatitis treatment. The presence of hepatitis may have substantial impact on the tactics of treatment of HIV-positive people, and to require more close medical observation and monitoring of taking antiretroviral drugs.
