ÊEach person experiences stresses connected to one’s work. Most people manage to overcome this stress, and it does not end up in emotional burnout syndrome. It is known that the most serious results of this syndrome are observed among specialists of communicative professions: doctors, teachers, health workers, life savers, psychologists who are in constant contact with people, who provide care, solve conflict situations; their clients experience negative feelings and need help and support. People who provide support to others often do that at the expense of their own resources. It is natural that when a person works with great devotion, his resources gradually become extinct. This pamphlet will be of use to you if: you are emotionally unstable and easily irritated; you often experience mood changes; you experience lack towards everything that is not connected to your work; in your mind you mostly have thought about professional problems; you have a poor sleep, and you don’t have enough sleep etc.

These guidelines are aimed at program managers and volunteers implementing programs with “peer-to-peer” component to save health and to conduct HIV...
