This manual teaches us to provide aid in emergency situations. The emphasis is made on action. Being able to provide aid - is not the main theme of this manual; there is also material on the issues of disease prevention, traumas and personal safety. First aid hints described in the manual coincide with modern requirements and consider the latest achievements in the sphere of before-hospital medicine. The Russian Red Cross hopes that this manual and the first aid course will allow you to act in most emergency situations, relieving pain and sufferings, decreasing consequences of traumas and unexpected diseases, saving human life.
