The manual is devoted to management and set up of the Telephone trust line on the issues of HIV/AIDS and drug abuse. The manual contains basic principles of the operation of the Hot Line and peculiarities of telephone service on HIV/AIDS and drug abuse. There is also information on possible steps to be taken to set up such a telephone line, to train specialists, as well as sources of funding. There is specific information on forms and methods of training consultants, as well as full program to train consultants to work at the trust line on the issues on HIV/AIDS. There is also basic information and variants of counseling, description of methodologies on telephone counseling on the issues of HIV, drug abuse. There are also recommendations on counseling in special cases (crisis, suicide, sorrow).
