«Euro Asia» Foundation supported by «Interfax» Information agency is announcing a second annual contest held among print and Internet media on the best coverage of urgent social issues in Russia.
The contest is held to draw public attention to the most urgent social issues, and to cover best experience of addressing them.
The topic of the contest approved by the council of experts is “Social Aspects of Modernization and Innovative Development of the Regions in Russia” in 2010.
The contest is conducted in three nominations:
• Best publishing in Federal print media;
• Best publishing in Local print media;
• Best publishing on the Internet.
Special nomination is for the development of new social technologies.

Works published on January 1-November 30, 2010 in Russian media are eligible for the contest.
Contest participants are either nominated by the editorial board of print and Internet media or authors can nominate themselves.
The council of experts also nominates publications, selected through monitoring of Russian media.
Application for participation can be e-mailed at media_competition@neweurasia.ru until November 30, 2010, including this date; please, make sure that the topic of the message should be “Mass media contest”.
Summing-up and awarding ceremonies are to take place in December, 2010, in Moscow.
