In Red Cross office, you can hear hot line calls every hour. Ekaterina, the psychologist, sometimes delivers up to 10 counseling session a day. In 80% of cases, women need help. Age groups are very diverse: from 16 to 55. Ekaterina says that her work is very tense and responsible, for she often becomes the first person whom HIV positive people disclose their HIV status.

“It is very hard to bring a person around to the point of view that it is possible to live with HIV. Moreover, it is imperative that a client should go to hospital and strive to care for the health condition. In many cases, clients come to the Information Counseling Center, when they are in a severe condition, and doctors cannot help”, says Ekaterina Rozengreen, the counselor and psychologist of the Information Counseling Center “Steps”.
