Worldwide day against TB is celebrated by the decision of World Health Organization (WHO) in the day when German microbiologic Robert Koh announced his discovery of TB agent. In 1993 World Health Organization declared TB as a national disaster and the day of March 24 became the Worldwide Day against TB.
Russian Red Cross Irkutsk Oblast Branch and Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights of Irkutsk region are planning to pass informational events in Irkutsk universities on this day and also to distribute informational thematic materials together with Municipal Students Council under Irkutsk Administration.
