14.07.2010 - SELECTED CHAPTERS OF THE HANDBOOK “CARE FOR CHILDREN INFECTED AND THOSE AFFECTED BY HIV/AIDS” HAVE BEEN POSTED

The Reference Center specialists have translated a few chapters of the handbook for community health workers.
It is a reference book for community based health workers and other carers who support and care for children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

The handbook is designed for health workers, carers, and people living with HIV. This information will help provide children, affected by HIV epidemic, with timely assistance to alleviate their physical and psychological problems.
The following chapters have been selected for the translation:
 Care for children infected by HIV. What should you do if your child has a fever, cough, diarrhea, TB, mouth and throat sores, skin problems, or pain?
 Emotional health of children affected by HIV. 

The manual is sure to help family members, health workers, and communities build practical skills, which will be useful when you care for children infected or affected by HIV.
