Very detailed information is given on historical, epidemiological and clinical peculiarities of HIV/AIDS; the main modes of transmission: through injecting, sex and from mother-to-child. There are recommendations on using models for HIV prevention, and on differentiated approach to organizing prevention activities for various groups of young people under the age of 18. Such peculiarities as age, gender and personal character are taken into consideration.
