This leaflet was developed for HIV-positive women and their partners who plan parenthood. For any person – giving birth to a baby and bringing him up – is an important sector of a fully fledged life. For an HIV-positive man or an HIV-positive woman the task of giving birth to a child can be more difficult than for non-infected couples. However, a lot of people living with HIV, have children;and if there is care provided and healthy life style being followed, their children can be healthy and their own health can be good too. The goal of this leaflet is to give answers to some of the questions about HIV and giving birth to a health baby.
