A « SAVE YOURSELF» event, aimed at preventing social diseases, was a part of the legendary “Baikal Shaman” festival, which took place on July 25-29 at the mouth of the Babkha river.
«SAVE YOURSELF» is an idea which staff of Irkutsk Regional branch of the Russian Red Cross used to talk about to the participants and guests of “Baikal Shaman” festival and distribute informational leaflets about modes of HIV transmission and prevention materials. The event was held during the festival.
600 individuals participated in the event, including guests, music bands, and festival organizers. 4,320 prevention and 550 information and education materials were distributed during the event.
Irkutsk Regional branch of the Russian Red Cross is thankful to the guests, music bands, and festival organizers for treating Red Cross staff and volunteers well.
